Calling all Sunset Heights ghouls and goblins! The 3rd annual Halloween at Halbert Fall Festival is back and spookier than ever! Join us on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, from 3-6 pm at Halbert Park, located at 200 E 23rd St, for an afternoon of festive fun. Bring your little monsters, dress up in your Halloween best, and enjoy games, treats, and plenty of spooky surprises. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season with neighbors and friends. Sunset Cinema Night
The scariest thing that could happen to you this Halloween is missing out on the Sunset Cinema Night!
Come one, come all and enjoy a free family movie under the autumn stars this Halloween. The Sunset Heights Civic Club and East Sunset Heights Association (SHCC and ESHA) present the inaugural AND annual Sunset Cinema Night - Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 6:30-9:30ish. (It’s a big deal folks!) There’s no better way to spend a Saturday night in Sunset Heights than making friends with your neighbors over snacks and a movie.

Calling all ghouls, goblins & spooky specters. Sunset Heights residents are invited to decorate their homes for our 1st annual Haunted House Decorating Contest. Entries will be accepted now through Monday, October 25th. Judging will be conducted by the Sunset Height Civic Club board and friends.

Neighborhood Mixer
Sunset Heights is partnering with Central City Co-Op to host our first neighborhood get-together of 2021 on Saturday, June 26th, 6-8 pm at the Co-Op, located at 420 E. 20th St.
Come out for an open mic night and meet your neighbors!
Companies including Acaju cashew yogurt, Lakonia Olive Oil, SweetCup Gelato, and more will be sampling their products for you to try! Richard's Rain Water and Mayawell Preboiotic Sodas will be keeping us hydrated. Artopiatogo is sponsoring a "cloud in a cup" project for the kiddos.
The first 50 adults that come will get a free mimosa!

Hey Sunset Heights neighbors! We have partnered with Johnny’s Gold Brick for a STAY-AT-HOME BLOCK PARTY this Friday and Saturday! Since they can’t be open as our neighborhood gathering spot, they’re doing the next best thing: BBQing with Chapman’s House BBQ @chapmanbbq and selling to-go cocktail kits. for you to enjoy from the safety of your own front porch or alley while waving at your neighbors. There will be frozen margaritas, frozen whiskey smashes, and delicious BBQ platters.
As a thank you to all of you, they will be offering free delivery in the Sunset Heights and East Sunset Heights neighborhoods. Let's show our award-winning neighborhood bar @johnnysgb some love this weekend! Please take photos of your socially distanced fun and tag us! We are so thrilled about this!!
